Vtg Japanese Haori Himo Kimono Accessory
This is a Japanese vintage haori himo made of red glass beads in both sphere and oblong shapes with gold metal accents. Each end has an S hook for easy attaching to the loops on a haori jacket.
A haori himo is a decorative cord, chain, or string that holds the kimono's haori (jacket) closed and in position. There is a string tie type, a type of glass ball passed through a braided cord, beaded types, and recently a magnetic type. They attach to the haori via loops at on the jacket's collar using small clasps or hooks.
